All individuals experience a variety of life stressors; however
many people to do not know the most effective coping skills for
dealing with these stressors.  People learn coping skills through
the institutions and environment that they act in.  Such "teachers"
of coping skills include family of origins, religious institutes,
schools, neighborhoods, social classes, peer groups, jobs, role
models, significant others,  and recreational activities.  Although
all of these influences usually mean well, they can be unaware of
individuals unique needs, the variety of skills that can be utilized,
and flaws in some of the skills that they do teach.   Because of
the lack of training in healthy coping skills, people often
experience a variety of problems in the following areas of life:

RELATIONSHIPS
FINANCES
EMPLOYMENT
HEALTH PROBLEMS
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
SPIRITUALITY
EDUCATION
PSYCHOLOGICAL ISSUES
PARENTING
SLEEP

The understanding and development of healthy coping skills can
prove effective.  This can ultimately lead to improvements in
communication patterns, self esteem and image, life satisfaction,
and over all functioning.
